🧘♀️ My confession: I spent most of 2023 playing video games on my laptop, iPad and iPhone. In between caregiving and working on my personal development plus mental health, it was always there for me.
For the first time in my life, I dived into the world of gaming.
The people I met on the game have changed my life 💜 and I am grateful.
Yes, I have four accounts and can play them simultaneously. It was quite a sight to behold during big events with all my screens online. The game interface, discord interface, spreadsheets, notes and of course music as we rode into battle in style 🔥 .
📒 I ran my gaming alliance like an organisation, implementing structure and templates, setting up discord servers for a few hundred users to support coordination and communication, rallying members and resolving issues.
It was a 🗡 war game – a MMORTS (Massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game) where many players interact with one another within a virtual world.
I learned about the gameplay, the political/diplomatic elements because of the PvP (player versus player) aspect, resource management, building optimisation, the way different players speak and behave, as well as content management and community engagement for virtual spaces.
I got to know many members on a personal level and established links with the other alliances on my server. It was a 🌀 wild one year in my life and changed the trajectory of my path. Perhaps I’ll write more about it later.
